Where Am I Going? : Poem

Author.    On.   
Where Am I Going?
Lord, grant that I am traveling
In a spiral, not a circle
Growing into my true self
Not just marking time.

Grant me a vision, Lord
Show me the way to go
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
May I move closer to the goal.

Teach me to go deeper and higher
To see and hear the truth
To recognize reality
And to grow in you.

Possibilities : Poem

Author.    On.   
Like a frog, I leap into my new life.
Like a butterfly, I burst the bonds of my cocoon.
Like a new formed bud on a limb, I push my head into the sunlight,
Like an eagle chick, I stretch my wings and fly.
Did you see me in the tadpole?
Did you see me in the cocoon?
Did you see me on the tree's bare branch?
Did you see me in the egg?
God sees us.
Sees not only who we are
But who we could be.
Sees the possibility behind the reality.
God knows how high this frog can leap.
God knows how much beauty this butterfly can spread.
God knows how much fruit this blossom can produce.
God knows how high this eagle can soar.


May I catch my maker's vision
And leap and spread beauty and fruit and soar,
To fulfill God's plan for this human being -
To be the blessing I could be in this world.

Waiting

Wanting,
lusting,
to be held,
to be loved,
to feel warmth,
to feel your beating heart.
Wanting to be sheltered from the cold,
heartless winds.
Falling into invisible arms;
into an abyss of love.
Wishing,
hoping,
that my desires will be filled;
my desires of loving warmth.
Wanting to be held,
comforted,
loved.
Dreaming of passionate embraces,
of tender kisses,
loving words,
romantic nights.
Waiting for undying love.

Tentang Rindu

Bukan hanya diam lalu memerangi lelah

Kesekian kalinya aku menghela nafas

Seperti angin berhembus tak terarah

Realitiku berbicara lalu terhempas



Meskipun tubuh ini tak mengerti akan berjalan kemudian

Namun hatiku seakan tahu tentang keyakinan

Semoga fatamorgana ini mampu ku dekap erat

Tak akan ku tuang letih rasa yang melekat



Aku sadar..

Peri bertongkat ajaib takkan pernah datang

Dan semoga suara hati tak hanya berbisik lalu menghilang

Tentangmu..

Tentang arahku..

Tentang perasaan nyata yang masih terbelenggu

Tentang pemakan ketulusan..
Yang rindu akan paras ayu pembawa kedamaian

Redup Cahaya Kunang-Kunang

Beranjak tubuhku membumbung tinggi..
Seperti terbang bersama 7 bidadari..
Ku lihat di sekeliling tebing..
Tandus tersengat panas lalu kering..

Awan masih meneteskan air mata..
Bumi tak kuasa membendung amarah..
Gunung-gunung perlahan menjadi murka..
Begitu juga dengan lautan yang sempat terhentak..

TUHAN,, ada apa dengan mereka?
Tak biasanya mereka memarahi kami secara bersamaan?
TUHAN,,apa yang ku saksikan ini?
Tak biasanya ku dengar tangisan seperti ini?

Kawan, coba sejenak kita renungkan..
Kesempatan itu masih membentang terbias..
Kawan, coba lihat redup cahaya kunang-kunang..
ia berduka menyaksikan kita yang selalu senang melihat ke atas...

Puisi Harapan

Tertulis dalam hatiku
Sejuta artian tentang keindahan
Dan ku dapati satu yang indah
Sebuah pancaran yang begitu terang

Cahaya itu semakin memancar
Aku tak mampu menahan perasaan
Aku sepertinya tak sadar
Bahwa itu hanyalah sebuah angan

Angan yang begitu sangat dalam
Yang masuk menyelinap dalm hati
Dan hanya bayangan yang melintasi
Sejuta arti ini hanya terpendam

Aku mencoba terdiam sejenak
Aku beratanya pada hati kecilku
Apa arti sesungguhnya cahaya itu
Mungkinkah benar adanya dalam hatiku

Semakin lama aku termenung
Mimpiku tentang cahaya yang terpancar
Membuat jiwaku tertepis waktu
Memberi semakin banyak sejuta sinar

Kini akupun tahu
Sebenarnya semua itu kehangatan
Sebenarnya cinta telah mendekapku
Sebenarnya kasih sayang menghampiriku

Kini akupun mengerti
Embun pagi adalah sejukku
Awan putih adalah teduhku
Gemerlip bintang adalah hiasan hatiku

Kini aku ingin terlepas sejenak 
Aku berharap kan bertemu peri
Yang kan temaniku dalam surga mimpi
Dan esok kan ku rangkai sebuah harapan

Harapanku untuk sebuah keindahan 
Harapanku untuk jiwa yang lelah
Harapanku untuk sebuah keyakinan
Serta harapanku untuk sebuah jalan cinta

Sejuta arti kan tetap menghiasi 
Dalam jalanku mencari jawaban
Sejuta jawaban kan menanti
Dan hatiku kan tetap terisi oleh warna-warni keindahan

New Life - Poem

Author.    On.   
I've been sitting around this life for years,
Not enough laughs and too many tears.
Trying to figure out where it all went,
These wasted years that I have spent.

Searching for something to go beyond,
Life's a stone skipping across a pond.
At the last skip, it hits with a splash,
Down the stone sinks, gone in a flash.

Pushing and pulling, it's tearing apart,
Poking and prodding an underused heart.
This dark velvet curtain that hides my soul,
Living this life has taken it's toll.

In a flash of bright light, the curtain is torn,
Tumbling down all tattered and worn.
Revealing new life, a child within,
Born free of hate, of suffering and sin.

Now my eyes see what has never been told,
Striving forth happy, confident and bold.
Into a world that's unfamiliar but friendly,
Into this new life my spirit will send me.

Living and laughing, loving it all,
I stood myself up and answered the call.
The darkness has gone, replaced by the light,
I gave up the darkness with hardly a fight.

I've been sitting around this life for years,
With laughter aplenty and hardly a tear.
Now I can see just where it all went,
Cherish every moment of this new life I've spent.
